I'll overwhelm 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
